Professor Ernest Azzopardi is a leading authority in cutaneous laser surgery, accepting referrals from Europe, UK and beyond, from both NHS and private sector colleagues and directly from patient inquiries.
After completing consultant training, Ernest Azzopardi pursued prestigious UK-GMC approved fellowships in Swansea, London, Milan and further afield. His experience extends to more than 10,000 cases' experience in this field, coupled with publication of key texts and scientific papers. Ernest Azzopardi is UK laser lead for the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. When he is not lasering patients, Ernesto is busy pushing the boundaries of science through an extensive research network, or advising Industry. Ernest is the recipient of multiple awards, grants, international prizes and is committed to teaching the next generation of clinicians and paying forward the skill and education he was fortunate to receive.
Professor Azzopardi is the recipient of the Hunterian, Syme, Edwards and BAPRAS President’s Medals, the Royal College of England’s Hunterian Professorship, the Jackson, Unilever, BAAPS, TSS awards and past -recipient of the Price-Thomas, BAAPS, Laserplast and UK TIG superspecialist fellowship awards. He is a validated laser specialist and a key opinion leader in the field. He was born in Qrendi, Malta and attended St Aloysious' College in B'kara before embarking on his medical career.
